Thousands took part in the ‘hilula’ memorial for former Chief Sephardic Rabbi, the Rishon Letzion, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu ztz”l.
The ceremony took place at Jerusalem’s Har Hamenuchot.
The rabbi died three yeas ago. He was one of the few modern rabbis held in great esteem by both Sephardic and Ashkenazi religious Jews.
