Hamas and Islamic Jihad bribed a Bedouin holding Israeli citizenship with thousands of shekel to infiltrate the IDF, an indictment filed Tuesday reveals.
In 2011, a Bedouin Israeli left Israel with a permit to cross into the Sinai desert, then made his way into the southern Gaza city of Rafah via a terror tunnel.
While there, the terror groups offered him 80,000 shekels ($20,706) to photograph IDF bases, and 150,000 shekels ($38,823) to kidnap an IDF soldier, Walla! News reports.
In addition, the indictment alleges that during his visit to Gaza, Hamas offered the Israeli citizen to smuggle 20 cell phones to security prisoners in the Israeli prison system, in exchange for 10,000 shekels ($2,588).
The citizen took this offer, the phones, and sold them to Israelis in his Bedouin town of Segev Shalom.
