A yeshiva student, aged about 20, was found dead in a reservoir near the Beit Zayit dam Thursday evening.
Emergency services were alerted Thursday evening to the dam at Beit Zayit, near Jerusalem, after other visitors at the location reported that a yeshiva student had entered the reservoir but failed to emerge from it.
The body was located by a diver at about 8 p.m.
The youth’s friends said he had entered the water, failed to come out and drowned in the mud.
