An IDF officer has died in a tragic accident during a holiday in Chile.
22 year-old Lieutenant Noam Rubinstein froze to death after breaking her ankle whilst hiking in the mountainous north of the South American country.
Her hiking companion – also an Israeli citizen – left her to get help, but by the time rescuers had arrived it was too late.
The army said her family had been informed.
