Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is currently at the scene of yesterday’s terror attack in Tel Aviv.
“People were sitting innocently and suddenly murdered in cold blood. I wish to extend my condolences to the families of the victims and my hope for a speedy recovery to the wounded,” he said. “We pray for their wellness. Israel Police and the Shin Bet are working tirelessly to catch the murderer.
“I received a comprehensive briefing with all of their actions. They are working with all of their forces. The picture of the murderer has been published, and additional pictures will be released. I ask the public to be fully alert.”
The Prime Minister asked the Arab sector to denounce the murder and to stop its incitement against Israeli citizens. “I appreciate the denunciation of crime that has been heard from the Arab public. I expect all the Arab members of Knesset, all of them without exception, to denounce the murder. They should do so without stammering, and without creative language. Murder is murder. We need to condemn it and act against it whenever it arises.”
He added: “We will dramatically increase the law enforcement services in the Arab sector. We will build new police stations, we will enlist more officers, we will enter all the communities, and we will require everyone to follow the country’s laws.”
