Despite the relatively pleasant temperatures forecast for Thursday, there remains a high chance of localized rain as well as thunderstorms in both northern and central Israel.

Rainfall is expected to start in the north before spreading to central Israel in the afternoon, and gradually coming to a halt in the evening; southern Israel is not expected to be affected.

Light precipitation may continue over the weekend, concentrated mainly in northern Israel and the coastal plane. Temperatures will be seasonable and moderate.

Early next week, temperatures are expected to rise slightly and sunny weather predicted to return.

Temperature on Thursday are expected to reach 17°C (62.6°F) in Nahariya, 11° (51.8°) in Tzfat, 19° (66.2°) in Tiberias, 16° in Nazareth and Haifa, 17° (62.6°) in Tel Aviv, 13° (55.4°) in Jerusalem, 22° (71.6°) at the Dead Sea, 18° (64.4°) in Rehovot, 17° (62.6°) in Ashkelon, 14° (57.2°) in Arad, 17°(62.6°) in Be’er Sheva and 23° (73.4°) in Eilat.

Heavy rains earlier this week prompted flooding and road closures in the south.
